I am supposed to have a rest day today but I have woken up full of energy. It's the first day after a gym session that I don't wake up feeling exhausted. I must be making process! There is a study from Bangor University recently which showed that progressive resistance training helps with both fatigue and joint pain in people with well-controlled RA (a definition which includes having stable RA for the previous 3 months). I have not exactly been stable with my medication regime recently but I have the encouragement of my rheumy team.
The upshot is that I am getting to know how my body responds and today... I might do another gentler gym session. He, he.
Alice
PS I can feel the usual unexplained wave of fatigue coming on but I know from experience it will have gone away within the hour.

Hi Alice, I awoke this morning feeling good but could feel the muscles I have worked, so today I am going to do aerobic exercises on the wii for half an hour. My daughter and her friend are playing Smash Bros at the moment so I will get to use it shortly. Then I will post my progress. Glad you are finding the weights good fun, I felt I could have done it again today but I know I will pay for it so aerobics will be todays workout. May go for a walk with my husband too if the rain stays off Lorna x

We went to a national trust House called Claybury and I walked to the place where we had a picnic!
